The main division of the club, the senior football team, is wildly popular in Russia somewhere, having lit some league on fire wherever it was. They earned FIFA Fair Play honors for not owning any part of any Belgian club in the 2005-2006 season. They were demolished in an early pre-season friendly by Tottenham Hotspur by a score of 6-0. They are currently on a break from playing pre-season matches, having loaned all of their players to depleted English side Barnet FC for one week as a sign of good will. The players did well, and held Arsenal FC to a scoreless draw.

In the 2003/2004 season, it shocked hockey observers by making it into the Top 30 of Forbes' 100 Most Profitable Pro Hockey Teams list that never actually published but was included by accident with a stray copy of Home & Gardening. The club placed 30th, with the New York Rangers trailing it by a wide margin.
